BENJAMIN JOSEPH
London, UKBenjamin Joseph is a London-based dj and producer. Ben spent his formative years on dance floors, particularly in London, Ibiza and Berlin, where he acquired his love, taste and knowledge for music. This sparked Ben to become a passionate crate digger. Ben became a groove led record collector, then a dj and selector and more recently a producer in his own right.
2020 saw Ben’s first vinyl release, a collaboration with Michael James on Burnski’s Constant Black VA EP. The track, ‘The Island’, shot to number 3 in the Juno Minimal charts, before selling out, and was Juno’s pick of the week. The track also received solid support in the scene, including Sunwaves heavy weights Sit (Vlad Caia and Cristi Cons).
Ben continued into 2021 with a string of solid vinyl appearances on a selection of heated VA’s. These included further support from Burnski, this time on Aesthetic 14, which went to number 2 in the Juno Minimal charts. Ben also had releases on Daydream France, Ben Jones’s Before Records and Tied Isolation VA Vol 2. 2021 also saw Ben’s first solo EP, ‘Evolution of Time’, on London’s Circa Groove. ‘Roll on’ shot to number 34 in the Beatport Minimal / Deep Tech charts.
You can find Ben regularly playing at The Lion and Lamb Shoreditch for the Alternate Facts boys (Thoma Bulwer and Dexter Kane), previous lineups have included Harry McCanna, Michael James, Andrew James Gustav and Silverlining.
